Employability training events

We run a series of online employability training events and panels that are open to all, but particularly invaluable for ScreenSkills Select students in their final year of study.

These sessions provide professional advice on a range of topics, all focussed on supporting students to start a successful career in the screen industries. The topics include how to build a professional profile, tailoring CV/covering letter to different job roles and freelance working.

Industry insight sessions

We deliver online industry insight sessions for ScreenSkills Select students and course leaders to engage and network with industry professionals. These popular sessions present a deeper insight into a variety of in-demand screen industry job roles, such as in film and TV production/post-production, VFX, animation, games, location management, and set design/production.

The industry-leading speakers are from organisations involved in productions such as Matrix 4, The Suicide Squad  and Halo: MCC. They give practical advice on pathways into the range of screen industries' fields.

UK BAFTA Scholarships

Students on ScreenSkills Select university postgraduate courses (and undergraduate courses in games) are eligible to apply for a UK BAFTA scholarship for up to £12,000 towards course fees. Find out more on the BAFTA website.
