Registrations open for the Organic Seed Policy Conference to be held in Poland
In the context of the LiveSeeding project, where IFOAM Organics Europe is a partner, a public Organic Seed Policy Conference will be organised on 29 September, 09:00 – 13:00 in Poznan, Poland. The title of the conference is “Market and policy developments of the organic seed sector in Poland”. It will be possible to join the conference both in person and online and English and Polish translation is available.
The conference will bring together policy makers and experts from Polish and European organisations, seed companies, and organic producer associations to discuss on the current state and framework on organic seed and plant breeding. More detailed sessions will focus on financial incentives to support the production of organic seeds and current post-varieties testing system’s limitations.
Conference speakers feature Janusz Wojciechowski – European Commissioner for Agriculture, Robert Telus – Polish Minister of Agriculture and Development and Krzysztof Jurgiel MEP. LiveSeeding partners have organised this high-level conference as a public event at the margin of their annual project meeting.
