Mental health awareness for HoDs... with Sarah McCaffrey

This workshop was designed by Sarah McCaffrey  who has combined her experience of working in film and media and as a qualified psychotherapist (MBACP) to create Solas Mind; offering mental health advice and support to the industry.

The challenges of social distancing, post Covid-19 anxiety, post-traumatic stress, adapting to new work practices, have had a large impact on mental health.

This session will increase awareness and understanding around mental health, looking at where it comes from and factors that enhance resilience. 

Who it's for

This 1 hour session is aimed at heads of department working in HETV or unscripted tv.

If you work in Unscripted TV and are interested in other training addressing workplace best practice as well as how to stay healthy, happy and productive at work, check out the ‘Your life at work’ strand.

The majority of the USF online short course offering is for those at early career stage and above. As a result, we generally require applicants to have at least 3 credits (unless working in a traditionally uncredited role). If you strongly feel you would still benefit from the training, please email USF@screenskills.com so we can assess if an exception should be made.
